Bytedance rolls out Seedance 2.0 to 100+ countries but keeps the US off the list

Bytedance's cloud division, Byteplus, has launched its AI video generation model, Seedance 2.0, in more than 100 countries, excluding the US. Originally introduced in China, the model gained attention for its ability to create AI-generated videos featuring Hollywood stars, which resulted in legal disputes with major studios. To navigate these challenges, Byteplus has implemented safeguards to prevent the use of copyrighted material and has provided access to a library of virtual personas for its clients.
