Vizio accounts are becoming Walmart accounts

Walmart is phasing out Vizio accounts after acquiring the TV maker in 2024. New Vizio TV buyers must now create or sign in with a Walmart account. Existing users can merge accounts or delete their Vizio account entirely.

This move affects customer data management. Users who delete their Vizio account have 30 days to request their data before it's gone. Merging accounts will initially apply only to new TV purchases but will expand to existing owners soon.
